The early childhood years from birth to the start of kindergarten are an important time of rapid learning and growth. Screening is most valuable for children who are 3.5 to 4 years old. If a child’s developmental delays are not identified until they are about to enter kindergarten, they have missed out on one to two years of early childhood services that could make a huge difference to their school success! Screening is required by State Law before Kindergarten.
