Paynesville Adult Basic Education Classes

Paynesville Adult Education provides adults with educational opportunities to acquire and improve literacy skills in order to become self-sufficient, proud employees, family members, and citizens. All classes are FREE and offered to adults 17 years or older and not enrolled in another school that meet eligibility requirements. To join our program, all students must register and be assessed. We are located in the Paynesville Area High School 
Adult Education offers the following classes:

English Language Learning (ELL)
ELL classes are designed for adults who are new to the English language and U.S. culture. Instruction focuses on communication for everyday life, such as the workplace, for all levels of English speakers. Skills include reading, writing, speaking and listening.

High School Equivalency Preparation 

High School Equivalency preparation is offered for eligible adults looking to obtain their High School Equivalency Diploma. 

Basic Skills Courses
Do you want to brush-up on your skills for school or work? Classroom opportunities are available for native and foreign-born community members. Instruction is personalized and based on the goals of each learner. Basic skills courses offer classes in the following areas:
 - Grammar, punctuation, and writing
 - Fractions, precents, and decimals
 - Reading fluency and comprehension
 - Preparation for college or technical school
 - Preparation for the workforce
 - Study for driver's written test in English for Driving class
 - Understand and practice fundamentals in Basic Computer Skills Class
