Behind the Wheel Program
Upon completion of classroom training students must sign up for behind-the-wheel training in order to receive a blue card. In order to register for BTW and/or to receive a blue card, you must pay a $20.00-non refundable deposit. Behind the wheel training consists of three - two-hour sessions of driving. The fee for this program is $229 payable prior to the students first driving lesson. A new state law now states that students may not take a driving test until they have had their permit for at least six months. This law will dictate when the student will be scheduled for behind the wheel training. Farm permits are exempt from this state law.
The main instructor of the program is Bill Heibel. If you have any questions you can call or email Matt Dickhausen mdickhausen@paynesville.k12.mn.us at Paynesville Area Community Education 243-7570.
